Electrical Engineer

As Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for configuring and maintaining the electrical systems for Quintus products. The job involves close cooperation with sub-suppliers to create cost efficient and qualitative solutions. As an electrical engineer, you specify all electrical hardware in our products, including electrical cabinets, external components and routing. Even though your primary task is hardware design you are expected to take part in developing designtools and processes.

Our electrical design is generated in AutoCad & elMaster and product lifecycle management is done in Teamcenter. For controlsystem safety Quintus works according to ISO 13849 with validation in Sistema.

You will work closely with your colleagues within engineering, but also with our local workshop and commissioning engineers to ensure our system delivery.

You report to Engineering Manager Jonas Lindholm and will be a part of commited team of 30 engineers. The position is permanent and located in Västerås.

Your profile
You have an engineering degree preferably within mechatronics, electronics or similar working experience. You have at least 5 years experience from working as electrical engineer in an industrial setting. You have solid experience of working with electrical design and standardization. Experience of leading external consultants and working with agile methods is an advantage.

You are a structured problem solver with a genuine technical interest who takes initiative and drive your work forward. You have good communication skills and enjoy collaborating with others.

You are fluent in Swedish and English, both written and oral.

System engineer

Become part of a world-leading company where you get the opportunity to develop cutting edge fluidmechanical systems. Quintus Technologies is looking for a System Engineer to join their committed team in reaching their goals.

As System Engineer you are responsible for the fluid systems in Quintus products. You will develop the different systems, creating specifications and schematics, perform calculations such as cycle times, flow rates and pressure levels and select appropriate components.

You will design hydraulic systems, water cooling systems, vacuum systems and high pressure gas systems. The gas systems using both gas and oil as pressure media are unique for Quintus products and can build pressures up to 2000 bar.

An important part of the role will be to contribute and drive the work with standardization of Quintus products. You will also drive cost and performance improvements.

You will work closely with electrical engineers and automation engineers within the department, but also colleagues within mechanical engineering, in our local workshop and commissioning engineers to ensure our success.

All designs are documented in Teamcenter and you will work in Autocad when you create the schematics.

You report to Engineering Manager Jonas Lindholm who looks forward to welcoming a new member to the team in Västerås.

Your profile
You have a degree in mechanics, hydraulics, or engineering physics. You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in an industrial setting and solid experience working with either hydraulics or other fluidmechanical systems. High pressure gas system knowledge is an advantage as well as process automation.

You are a driven team player with a genuine technical interest and good communication skills. You have a systematic and structured way of working. You are analytical and a skilled problem solver who gets things done. The role offers great variation so you must like to work both theoretically and hands-on.

You are fluent in Swedish and English, both written and oral.

Quintus Technologies continually work with long-term perspectives and wants to be in the forefront when it comes to investing in students and their careers, that is why we offer students to do their master’s in close collaboration with our skilled Engineer department.

We want to give you as a student the opportunity to develop yourself, get new ideas and perspectives and in the same time gain insight into how our company works. During the master thesis you will be able to use your knowledge gained from your studies and translate them into practice. In the same time as you develop your skills we also hope that you will give us new perspectives and contribute to our development. The thesis also open up the possibility to work at Quintus after the thesis or to apply to our trainee program.
