Quintus Technologies Trainee Program

Will you be the next talented graduate to join us?

Quintus Trainee Program is a one-year development plan which comprises on-the-job training in six steps culminating in a final overseas block. During this period, you will get the opportunity to learn about Quintus Technologies business. You get to know our customers, products and people globally while you are developing skills and personality. During the first six months of the trainee program, you will also dedicate some of your time writing a common assignment together with the other trainees.

During the trainee program you will also dedicate your time to trainee activities such as visiting customers, courses, broaden your network through connecting with managers and colleagues from Quintus, be part of the trainee community and other social events.

The program runs from September 2022 and will take one year.

Who are you?

  • You have a Master´s degree in engineering within the field of Automation and Mechatronics, Computational Science, Information Technology, Electrical Design and Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering
  • You are driven and ambitious and are able to see the bigger picture.
  • You have passion for advanced technology and material.
  • You are open minded, social and able to work in teams with the drive to succeed together.
  • Have no more than 1 year of professional experience within your field of studies by the start date.
  • Have excellent knowledge of English, both written and oral.

We are looking for young talents within different fields of engineering:

Software Developer

The Software Developer will focus on the digitalization, connectivity and end user functions of the products. It will cover databases,
cloud solutions and new way of analyzing data streams from our products.

  • Deploying new software
  • IT-security
  • Identify opportunities for automation within software processes.
  • Design and execute QA tests including using automated scripts.
  • Run tests for databases, systems, networks, applications, hardware and software.
  • Install and maintain applications and databases relevant to automation.
  • Gather requirements from clients, customers or end-users to develop the best automation solutions.

Automation Engineer

The Automation Engineer is responsible for implementing the automation functions in our products control systems and develop the human machine interface.

  • Develop the internal machine IT architecture, including hardware and external interfaces
  • Develop PLC programs and optimizing performance of the control system
  • Design HMIs
  • Define test procedures and perform testing

Fluid System Engineer

The Fluid System Engineer is responsible for the gas, water, hydraulic and vacuum systems for all of our products. As fluid system engineer you design and dimension hydraulic cooling, gas and water systems as well as create systems requirement specifications.

  • Create systems requirement specifications
  • Collaboration with sub suppliers
  • Write detailed functional specifications for all systems
  • Perform cycle time calculations
  • Develop and maintain analysis tools

Mechanical Engineer

As Mechanical Engineer you get to work widely with everything from detailed design of mechanical components to product development and concept development. You will focus on the mechanical design including a mixture of electrical, hydraulics and gas system components.

  • Detail design in different areas (forgings, sheet metal, welding, surface treatment…)
  • Specification of design to supplier
  • MD (Maskindirektivet) and CE
  • Mechanical integration of electrical and fluid systems.
  • Working with large 3D assemblys (layouts)
  • General routing


As trainee at the logistics department you will be part of the responsibility to define, analyze and optimize Quintus global logistics, warehousing and supply chain set-up.

  • Analyze performance of Quintus logistical set-up and material flows across our regions Europe, Asia and Americas
  • Analyze requirements for Quintus global logistics set-up and define service levels
  • Set and analyze parameters and KPI for inventory management
  • Optimize total costs of logistics from suppliers to customers
  • Develop and lead initiatives to further develop the supply chain in order to reduce lead times, capital costs and to increase service levels
  • Analyze and optimize materials flow in production
