The managing Director at Plansee Metal GmbH, one of the world’s leading in producers of refractory metal products, stands on deck, satisfied with a successful testing and commissioning on his company’s newest cold isostatic press (CIP). This is no ordinary CIP. At this moment, it’s the world’s largest cold isostatic press ever built, with the capability of operating at pressures up to 2,500 atmospheres (36,250 psi).
