Effect of different heat-treatment routes on the impact properties of an additively manufactured AlSi10Mg alloy

This paper explores applying an innovative high-pressure T6 treatment (HPT6) to additively manufactured AlSi10Mg alloy. HPT6 aims to achieve densification and hardening effects similar to traditional T6 treatment in a single step. Compared to a two-step treatment and standard methods, HPT6 shows promising mechanical properties and high densification, with the added benefit of being time-efficient for high-performance applications.
