The energy market is expanding rapidly through electrification of previously fossil-fuel segments, which drive the need for energy storage solutions, including batteries.
Quintus Technologies (Quintus) will take on a role being the driver of development within future of energy storage, for example solid state battery development.
Quintus is now looking for a person with expertise and interest within battery development technology and the future of energy storage. Quintus is already working with application development specifically targeted towards this market and are active in trials with institutes, suppliers, and OEMs. A next step is to acquire in-depth knowledge and competency from the battery development market to further strengthen the organization.
The vision is to create a strong position within the battery production segment, working with manufactures and being in the forefront of the next generation of batteries.
- Establish Quintus high pressure technology within the energy storage and battery processes on the market.
- Explore, develop, and drive new business with a focus on solid state battery development and serial production.
- Actively participate in development of the strategic plan for systems, services and business expansion.
- Translate market requirements into internal directions and guidelines i.e. new product development, application requirements, product improvement etc.
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is expected to contribute to industrial impact globally regarding high pressure technologies for the battery market. Clarified target client groups and networks to participate in, making sure Quintus is represented in relevant forums/discussions for solid-state battery related products and services. Also, contributed to development of technical documentation regarding the use of high-pressure processing in the production of solid-state batteries, in close collaboration with the business development, product development and engineering departments.
The BDM reports to Manager Business Development and is part of the business development team. Preferred location is Germany or Sweden. Other locations in Europe can be considered. Candidates must be prepared to travel extensively within Europe, globally to HQ in Västerås Sweden when required.
You will minimum have a Bachelors degree, in engineering combined with experience of working in a business oriented role in an international context. You have experience within the battery industry, with understanding of battery development and expected future directions for the industry. Fluency in English oral and written is a requirement, German is a plus.
To succeed in this role, you are business oriented with a strong contact ability, combined with a high analytical ability interested in technical solutions. You are incisive and works with persistency against agreed goals, motivated to drive business development. Further, you have a good collaborative ability understanding the importance of working in cross collaboration to create the best possible results.
