Laminage isostatique

Le même procédé de base employé pour les poudres métalliques et céramiques peut être légèrement modifié en y ajoutant de la chaleur (normalement jusqu'à 90 °C) pour le laminage des composants destinés au secteur de l'électronique. La plage de pression du laminage a normalement toujours été entre 5 000 et 10 000 PSI (entre 344 et 688 Bar). De récentes évolutions dans le secteur indiquent que les plages de pression futures pourraient tomber entre 30 000 et 60 000 PSI (entre 2 068 et 4 136 Bar). À l'heure actuelle, Quintus est en train de fournir des presses pour les besoins futurs.

Quintus a développé une série de presses de laminage isostatiques (ILP) haute pression pour le laminage rentable d'une variété de composants électroniques, notamment les MLCC, les LTCC, les puces hybrides, les ferrites, les paquets d'éléments métalliques de base, les PZT à plusieurs couches, les dispositifs médicaux électroniques et les implants, les filtres électroniques, les varistances, les composants Bluetooth, les piles à combustible et d'autres modules à plusieurs couches.

Les presses de laminage isostatique peuvent entraîner des gains de productivité considérables

Les presses de laminage isostatique offrent des taux de débit jusqu'à 20 fois plus élevés que ceux des presses de plateaux chauffés uniaxiaux traditionnels.

Les grands paniers de travail entièrement accessibles comportent de nombreuses pièces sous vide en piles horizontales ou en rangées verticales, et peuvent contenir des paquets jusqu'à 20 po. de long. Plusieurs paquets de différentes tailles peuvent être laminés au cours d'un seul cycle de 3 à 10 minutes.

Même avec ses avantages de productivité impressionnants, la presse de laminage isostatique de Quintus fabrique des modules de qualité quasiment parfaite :

  • La pression de laminage répartie de façon homogène empêche la distorsion des paquets
  • Le rétrécissement est contrôlé avec précision, et la variation de pièce en pièce est éliminée
  • L'excellent transfert de chaleur vers toutes les parties de la pièce assure un laminage homogène
  • Aucun arrondissage des bords ou de la cambrure
  • Aucun découpage des bords
  • Aucune rotation de pièces au cours du cycle
