冷等静压工艺(CIP)已被全球各地的生产商成功的使用超过几十年,经过CIP后,金属或者陶瓷粉末被制成半成品,后续再进行其他处理,如机加工或者烧结。

CIP的常规使用压力为1,035至4,138 bar (15,000至60,000 psi),温度可以达到93摄氏度,对于陶瓷材料来说,能达到95%的理论密度。

适用于高性能材料的可靠工艺
CIP通常应用于陶瓷粉末的粘接,石墨压制,耐火材料和电气绝缘材料,以及牙科和医疗行业的精细陶瓷领域。

这种技术也被用于一些新的行业应用,例如溅射靶材的压制,用于降低发动机气缸头磨损的阀体涂层,通讯行业,电子行业,航空航天以及汽车行业。
